THE FIRST UNIFIED EFFORT TO BRING MENTOR - BASED ENTREPRENEURSHIP & LEADERSHIP EDUCATION TO HIGH SCHOOLS ACROSS CANADA
YELL Venture Challenge 2015
May 1 - 2, 2015
YELL commences with weekly classes in the Fall followed by project work in the Winter and a venture challenge in the Spring.
Students will be inspired by the personal stories and contrasting experiences of accomplished entrepreneurs. Business Accelerator includes weekly session covering one of several business topics. Each class is broken into three parts: Instruction, Workshop and a Guest Speaker.
The Idea Incubator phase turns to focus on student solutions to real world problems. Once a concept is adopted, the team is matched with a lead mentor from the business community. Through the guidance and advice of their mentors, teams will develop a viable business plan for their concepts.
The program culminates in a Venture Challenge in each of the districts. Each team will present their business plans to a qualified panel of investors. As YELL expands across districts a provincial business plan competition will be developed.

“Yell is a wonderful opportunity for students to connect to mentors in the community. The program helps take the theoretical of school, and make it practical. It has quickly become a marque program in our district.”
